I specialise in Advanced Surface Modelling in cad design , the cad mechanical design in the image above was all completed in SolidWorks! This particular design was for Landrover, they supplied the styling they wanted, and with the direction of a carbon fibre FEA specialist team, I helped create a design that would perform with being manuf
I specialise in Advanced Surface Modelling in cad design , the cad mechanical design in the image above was all completed in SolidWorks! This particular design was for Landrover, they supplied the styling they wanted, and with the direction of a carbon fibre FEA specialist team, I helped create a design that would perform with being manufactured from carbon fibre. There were many design interations as we had issues with cracking around the knuckle area in the spoke. Many hours spent refining the angles to get it to perform under rigorous testing.

The model above was for a very low production run, the customer only made up the product apon order from their customer base. The product casing was completely modelled in solidworks cad and 3D Printed rather than tooled and injection moulded.

The Ski shown on the right, I designed for David Miln, a Paralympian for Australia competing in the Para-biathlon. Originally David's ski was an aluminium frame with a fibre glass moulded seat. The Ski shown on the right, I designed for David Miln, a Paralympian for Australia competing in the Para-biathlon. Originally David's ski was an aluminium frame with a fibre glass moulded seat. The university of NSW came to me with the design and asked if I could help them produce a single piece moulded carbon fibre piece. Together with 2 colleagues we designed the shape, printed the tooling and the part was hand layed in carbon fibre. The entire job having a 1 month turn around was an incredible feat.
